Lithuania

The Lithuanian flag was re-adopted on March 20, 1989.  The flag had previously been use from 1912 until 1940 when Lithuania was occupied by Germany and then Annexed into the Soviet Union.  The flag consist of three horizontal bands coloured yellow, green and Red.  The red on the flag represents the blood that has been shed for Lithuania, while the yellow symbolizes the golden fields and the green the country’s green country side.
