Caldwell, Idaho

Idaho

The flag of Idaho was adopted on March 12, 1907.  The flag design was based on the First Idaho Infantry flag in 1899 during the Spanish-American War.  The flag contains a blue field with the state seal and a red and gold banner with the words “State of Idaho” on it.

Idaho

Idaho’s nickname is The Gem State because of its abundance of natural resources and scenic areas that include snow-capped mountain ranges, rapids, vast lakes and steep canyons. The waters of Snake River rush through Hell’s Canyon, the deepest canyon in the United States. Shoshone Falls plunges down rugged cliffs from a height greater than that of Niagara Falls.
