Cyprus

Cyprus

The national flag of Cyprus is made up of a white field and in the center there is a map of the island and two olive branches.  The olive branches and the colour white both symbolize peace and the copper yellow colour was made to stand for the large deposits of copper on the island.  The white and olive branches on the flag were used as an attempt from the government to bring peace between the Turks and the Greeks.
