Monrovia, Liberia
The Liberian flag is very similar to that of the United States Flag. The flag contains red and white strips and a white star in the blue canton. The blue on the canton represents the main land of Africa and the white star symbolizes the freedom the ex- American slaves were granted. The eleven strips represent the eleven signatures on the Liberian Declaration of Independence. The red and the white on the strips represent courage and moral excellence.
