Hanoi, Vietnam
The Vietnamese Flag was adopted by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 5, 1945 but after North Vietnam captured Saigon in 1975 it later became the flag of a United Socialist Republic of Vietnam that was formed on July 2, 1976. The colour of red on the flag stands for blood and is a common colour on communist flags. The yellow star on the center represents the people of Vietnam.
