Gibraltar
The flag of Gibraltar was adopted on November 8, 1982. The flag contains a large white band and a smaller red band. In the center of the flag there is a red castle with a golden key underneath it. The Castle is said to represent the fortress of Gibraltar. Unlike flags of other British territories the flag of Gibraltar does not contain the Union Jack on it, but instead it is an elongated version of the Gibraltar coat of arms.
